Jennifer Rene Psaki
Jennifer Rene Psaki is a American political adviser who was the 34th White House news secretary between 2021 and 221. A member of the Democratic Party, Psaki was previously the White House deputy secretary (2009), White House deputy communication director (2009-2011) and spokesperson for United States Department of State 2013-2015 as well as the White House communications Director (2015-2017). Psaki was a contributor to political campaigns for CNN from 2017 through 2020. Psaki started her career as an Iowa Democratic senator, Tom Harkin, and was later elected governor of Iowa. Psaki was then named deputy press secretary to John Kerry's presidential campaign in 2004. Psaki worked as the director of communications to Joseph Crowley in the U.S. and as the regional press secretary of the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee. Psaki returned in 2012 to political communications serving as the press secretary of President Obama's 2012 reelection campaign. [20] Psaki was named the spokesperson of the United States Department of State. There was speculation that she was going to replace Jay Carney White House Press secretary once he left for the White House[21] were fuelled by her hire by the Department of State. However, Josh Earnest was announced as Carney's replacement on May 30th in 2014. She was appointed communications director in the White House and continued to perform this role until the end in 2015.
