Kyra Minturn

 KyraMinturn Sedgwickwas born on 19th August 1965, is an American actor. Her most well-known work is her role as the Deputy Chief Brenda Leigh Johnson (TVN crime drama The Closer). Sedgwick was awarded the Golden Globe Award in 2007 for her performance as Johnson and an Emmy Award 2010 for her performance. Following the seventh season Sedgwick received an Emmy Award and a Golden Globe Award in 2007 and an Emmy Award in the year 2010. The series ended on August 13th in 2012. Sedgwick is also known for her recurring character in the role of Madeline Wuntch, on the sitcom Brooklyn Nine-Nine. Sedgwick received an Golden Globe Award for her performance in Something to Talk About (1995). Sedgwick's roles in other films include Oliver Stone's Born of the Fourth of July (1989) as well as Cameron Crowe's The Ones (1992) The Heart and Souls-1993), Phenomenon (1996) and What's cooking (2000) and Secondhand Lions (2003). The Game Plan (2007) and The Possession (2013). Sedgwick was born in New York City, the daughter of Patricia (nee Rosenwald), an educator and speech therapist and Henry Dwight Sedgwick V, a venture capitalist. Her mother was Jewish, was of English and Episcopalian descent. Sedgwick has publicly declared her Jewish roots and stated that she participates in Passover seders.
