Baylor and my friends and colleagues I met there have profoundly affected and shaped my life. Karen Pope from the Art History department. I was fortunate to be able to take several classes that I was enrolled in under Dr. Pope. She also took me to Chicago and Paris to learn about art. Her passion for art was quite enjoyable. She also stated that "Art history is like the puzzle. As art historians, we always try to find the pieces that fit together." I was raised in the auto industry by my dad and I was required to work in the dealership in the summer. I was a mechanic's helper changing brake pads and oil in the summer.
